XD Expansion/Deflection Coupling, 4" Diameter, Iron Alloy With HDG Finish

XD couplings are designed to absorb conduit movement while helping protect both the raceway and the wires inside. They accommodate axial expansion or contraction up to 3/4 inch, angular misalignment up to 30 degrees in any direction, and parallel misalignment up to 3/4 inch without collapsing or fracturing the conduit. An inner sleeve creates a smooth, insulated wireway to help protect conductor insulation, while the watertight flexible neoprene outer jacket resists corrosion and shields the grounding strap and hub attachment points. Tinned copper flexible braid bonding straps maintain bonding continuity, stainless steel jacket clamps provide added strength and corrosion resistance, and standard tapered electrical threads ensure compatibility with standard rigid conduit. An integral hub bushing adds extra protection for conductor insulation.
