This XS2 is a part of the OsiSense XS product range of inductive proximity sensors. Inductive proximity sensors enable the detection, without physical contact, of metal objects. Its range of applications is very extensive and includes monitoring the position of machine parts (cams, end stops, etc.) or counting the presence of metal objects. These sensors have high operating rates, fast response, and excellent resistance to industrial environments (robust products, fully encapsulated in resin). The range of this sensor is 0.06in (1.5mm) to 0.31in (8mm). The sensor accepts 24VDC to 210VDC or 24VAC to 240VAC power and provides a normally open discrete output as well as an output state LED and a supply on LED. The sensor is a non flush mountable nickel plated brass M18 thread barrel sensor with a male 1/2-20 UNF 3-pin connector. It is compliant with UL, CE, CCC, and CSA standards and IP67 rated. It is suitable for railway, mobile equipment, material handling/conveying/logistics, material working/machine tools, packaging, robotics, food and beverage industries. This product is certified by CE, CCC, CSA and UL. Inductive sensors come in flush and non-flush versions, M8, M12, M18, M30 short and long bodies cylindrical forms, standard cubic, rectangular and flat forms. The inductive proximity sensors for non contact sensing of metal objects up to 60mm. It is designed for use in industrial applications relating to presence detection.
