The IOTA D48T provides emergency illumination at full light output, and operates in conjunction with the existing lamps and ballasts in facilities that have 48V central battery systems. The IOTA D48T is a combination solid state 48V inverter ballast and AC sensing relay. When the AC power fails, the D48T automatically switches to the emergency mode and operates one of the existing lamps at full light output for as long as the 48V battery capacity is available. Primary application of the IOTA D48T is in telephone company switching buildings.
